Zoo and Mason's birthday

We took a trip to the zoo last week. As always, Donovan loved it.

He threw some awesome tantrums while we were there. It's like he waited until he was guaranteed at least one sibling before he started throwing his extreme tantrums. It's pretty exhausting, but we're figuring it out.

Addi is just adorable. Her little growl was cracking me up.

Donovan had a blast at Mason's party! He was all over the place!

Notice the change of shorts? Apparently he was having too much fun to go potty and ended up having an accident in the middle of the obstacle course. He was taking forever to come down the slide at the end and then I heard him whimpering. He was crying so I thought he was stuck, but he was standing there with wet pants. Poor kid. I'm glad other parents were prepared with extra underwear and pants! After we got his wet pants off he was ready for more and went right back to the obstacle course.
It was cute that even among all of his friends, Mason was still happy to sit with his little cousin Donovan.

Having fun in the bouncy house.

I got this cardboard from someone in primary to make a felt board for Sunbeams, but I ended up buying a new one because it had been used and wasn't in very good shape. I made the mistake of telling Brad I wasn't going to use it because it was a "piece of crap". Donovan wanted to keep the "piece of crap" to play with...and that's what he calls it. Am I the only one who thinks it's slightly funny? Does it make me a bad mom to think it's funny when my child says crap?

This is my sad attempt at taking my own belly picture. As you can see, it's growing pretty quickly. We're almost halfway there! 17 weeks down, 23 to go. Donovan is getting pretty excited. I think he would do well if the baby got here today. He already found the burp cloths and has been wiping my belly telling me he's cleaning the baby. He also gives the baby kisses. He's convinced that it's a girl, but I'm not so sure. Since I want a girl, it will probably be a boy. That's alright with me, we love the little boy we already have so much, I'm sure it will be just as much fun with another boy!

A week with ShayLea

I hope we kept ShayLea entertained while she was here. Donovan loved having her around! We went to the zoo one day.

It was nice having her there so I didn't have to carry the little boy with tired legs. I always feel the most pregnant when I'm exhausted and I felt very pregnant that day.

ShayLea was nice enough to watch Donovan on Tuesday night so Brad and I could go to the US Women's National friendly against Sweden. Brad got offered free tickets last minute so we decided to go since it was in Omaha. They ended up tying 1-1, but we got to see Kristine Lily! She's still playing after all these years and she still looks pretty fit! I also found a new favorite player. Her name is Megan Rapinoe and she is a stud.

Kristine Lily! We got a pretty awesome thunderstorm while she was here. She took Donovan outside to watch.

After it stopped raining we went out to run around in the wet grass. Can you see the sky? It was orange.
We decided to go over the pedestrian bridge to check out the splash park. It's bigger than the one we have in Council Bluffs, but it doesn't compare to the one in Highland.
One day we tried to go to the park, but it was ridiculously hot and humid. We decided it was a better swimming day than a park day.
Donovan is getting so brave in the water! He was hanging on the sides and climbing all over the place. We went back again on Saturday before ShayLea went home and he was plugging his nose and going under...over and over again.
I'm pretty sure this is out of order, but we went shopping one night and got matching shoes. We had a few people ask us if we were sisters...do we look alike?
Donovan got a big boy haircut! ShayLea cut a lot of hair while she was here. She made some pretty good money for being on vacation! Donovan did a great job and so did ShayLea! It looks really good, and he reminds me that he got his hair cut just about every day so I have to tell him what a good job he did. He's such a nut.
After ShayLea left on Saturday, we were all feeling pretty lazy and didn't really want to go anywhere so we played Wii. Donovan is starting to get into Wii Fit and it's HILARIOUS. This is him doing the mushroom game. You have to move your hips to hit the numbers that add up to 10. Sometimes he gets lucky, sometimes he doesn't, but it's hilarious to watch!

Utah fun and shenanigans...

I love my boys. They are so cute. This picture was taken before we left for Utah. On the road!

On the road again, just Bradley and me. We spent 3 days in Arizona without Donovan for our 5 year anniversary. Yep, 5 years! The scenery was GORGEOUS!

Donovan had a blast playing with water at Granny and Papa's house.

And with the hula hoop.

Donovan and I headed down to Cedar City with ShayLea and my dad. It was a nice relaxing weekend and Donovan had a blast.

He was a really good helper to Papa Glenn.

At Grandma "Minnie's" house he spent a lot of time in the pool.

He's getting so brave in the water!

My mom found a splash park in Highland. It was awesome. We went there multiple times and he loved it every time.

We watched the stock parade and saw Uncle Tyler with the FFA.

We also watched the miniature float parade. After all the candy, he decided he loves parades.

At Colin's b-day party he was trying to feed a bottle to Kate...I think he's ready to have a baby in the house.

He had a blast on Granny and Papa's swingset....

and with all of the other toys.

I got to see Tiva and Bex! Becky just got home from her mission at Temple Square. I miss them already!!

I hung out with Jessica and her 2 boys. This baby is beautiful! He has so much dark hair, he's gorgeous!

Heath and Donovan at the splash park...like I said, we went there multiple times.

We headed up north and hung out in Logan before heading to Ogden to a reception (2 players got married, only the second time it's happened...we were the first).

After stopping at the reception we went to the RSL v New England Revolution game (they won 5-0...awesome). We found Mark and Natalie! We miss them!

I was in the middle of saying something to Brad in this picture...calling him a creeper or something, I don't remember.
After the game we went back up to Logan and stayed with the Pulham's. In the morning we went to the little zoo in Logan. Donovan had fun and got his first snow cone!

We love the Pulham's! Donovan had a blast and even went on his first 4-wheeler ride.
Later that day we headed up to Bear Lake for some boating...I love this landscape, I miss it!

I'm glad he got some rest on the way! Do you like his crossed legs?
First boat ride!

"I like to go fast!"

First tube ride. I was more nervous than he was, he loved it.

I just liked Brad's face in this one, he was feeling pretty old after his ride.

Hanging out with Sarah at Brad's friend Will's baby's blessing.

More splashing! This time with Colin. Little monkey!

Brothers.

Donovan spent a lot of time in Granny's pool.

We went to Jumping Jacks one day and he LOVED it! He gets to play at a similar place for Mason's b-day party in a couple of weeks!

Photographic evidence of Brad playing baseball with his son. Just for you Dad.

Donovan and Kaylee.

Scotty and Sara Lu.

Bradley and his nieces. We love these girls and miss them like crazy!

More pool with cousins.

Donovan with his Papa Sam.

More gorgeous scenery on the way back from Park City. I've never seen Deer Creek so full.

There are no words to express how much I miss this.

We went to a pool party the last night we were in Utah.

That was our trip in a nutshell. We had a blast and we already miss it. I wish we were closer to family, but it's nice to be back home in our own beds and have our own space!

We went to the doctor for a check up today. Donovan was pointing to the baby and telling Brad what it was, it was cute. ShayLea got to go with us, which was fun...and convenient because I had to get blood drawn and Brad had to go back to work so she walked around with Donovan for me. The baby is growing ahead of schedule...shocker after Donovan...not. There was no flashing so we didn't find out the gender, hopefully next month! I can already feel the little stinker moving inside, it will be fun when Donovan can feel all the kicks and spins. When I ask him what we saw at the doctor's office, he says "baby in mommy's belly." He's being pretty dang cute. Here's my 15 week belly, I've decided to be nice and let people see me get fat this time around. We don't have much photographic evidence from my pregnancy with Donovan.
