Outer Banks, NC June 2013

We had so much fun in North Carolina this year.  My grandparents paid for 3 beach houses for a week to celebrate their 60th Anniversary with as much of the family as possible.

My kids LOVE playing in the water, so they had a great time!

 They also loved playing in the sand!

 It was fun to see my grandpa get out in the water.  I think he attempted some body surfing, but the waves weren't very good.

 Chamae loved being carried into the waves by anyone that would take her!

They even found some sand crabs one day, that kept them occupied for quite a while!

 It was so much fun to spend time with the family on vacation!  We usually just visit them when they still have to work, etc.

 Chamae got in quite a bit of Papa Glenn time.  She was pretty bossy, and he kept her happy!

 Grandkids not cooperating for pictures.  I wasn't happy with Chamae, and then she ended up with a fever that night.  No wonder she didn't want to get pictures taken!!!

 Last day on the beach.  Brad and I got up early to look for awesome shells and watch the sunrise.

 One day, while we were in the water, Donovan would plug his nose, go under the water, and then just let the waves carry him. I asked him to come closer to me and he said, "But mom, I'm body surfing!"  He was paying attention to the big kids:)  He started boarding after that, and had a lot of fun with it, while looking adorable carrying it into the water.
