The rest of August and Septemer

Don't forget to scroll down and read about Donovan's birthday party...that happened over a month ago...

Soccer season is here again!!!  We love going to games.  The kids get to run around, and I get to watch some soccer!

And we get to see David and Joyce.  See David with his super fancy camera?  And Joyce's leg?  Jordan Carver is back there too with his hipster glasses.
Enjoying some cookies after school.  Donovan is doing great in school!  In fact, he has written and illustrated about a dozen books so far.  They aren't bad.  I love to see his attempts at spelling, it's fun  to watch them improve as he learns more and more.
Chamae is just adorable and has turned into my little shadow.  Donovan entertained her too well during the summer, now she wants a constant companion!
One day after school, we made some slime.  They loved it and played with it for a really long time!

Donovan is now riding a 2 wheeler (as he and his friend Crew call it) and loves it!  He likes to watch Wild Kratts after school, but the second it's over, he is out on his bike until dinner time!
We have Soccer Academy again this fall.  He is doing really well!  I love the fun, laid back atmosphere it provides.  They have so much fun, they don't even realize how much their ball skills are improving!  I have noticed though, he is doing awesome!!!
And Chamae is just pretty.  She is starting to pick out her own clothes, but lets me dress her sometimes:)  I love that she wants me to do her hair every morning!  It is getting so long and fun to do!
She is also turning into quite the character.  The girl is hilarious, and she knows it!
She is probably getting too big for a crib, but I'm not quite ready for the big girl bed phase:(
Hanging out with Lola at the zoo yesterday.  Cute little blue eyed girls!!!
Brad's club team played his college team last night, so after dinner, the kids and I went over there.  I watched the game while the kids played on the track.

My kids are gorgeous.

I decided that 5 was a good age to start having friend parties, and Donovan agreed.  We decided on an Angry Birds theme because he loves them, and there were some fun, cheap ideas online.

This was our lifesized Angry Birds game.  Donovan's friend Crew, his two older brothers, and Donovan helped me spray paint boxes, and paint the pigs.  I did the balls last minute before the party that day.  I started to worry when it rained all day the day of the party, but about 45 minutes before, it cleared up and the sun came out.  Perfect timing:)

 Angry Birds bowling.
I did pop the balloon instead of a pinata.  The kids loved it, I think it was their favorite game.
The party crew.  Cousin Mason, and kids from Donovan's primary class.
I love when Donovan opens presents, he's so easy to please!!!  All of the gifts were awesome, but it's just nice to know he's usually happy with anything!  He even got a gift certificate for the "slushie store" (gas station) because he LOVES getting slushies.
Donovan is an easy kid to love.  He is so sweet and usually very considerate of others.  He is turning out to be a pretty awesome big brother, Chamae is spoiled by him!!!  We feel so blessed that we get to raise him and have him in our family forever!  I still can't believe he's 5!!!
