Here are some of the pictures from the last few weeks.
He's so cute in his big boy bed. He makes this face when he gives hugs, I love it.
This was the track he came up with. I think he's very creative.
Last Saturday we went to the Children's Museum with Lenna, Mason, and Addi. This is his focused face.
This was Donovan's favorite part!
I think digging in dirt was a close second. The Stanky Leg.
I thought it was funny.
He's such a good helper. Every time I clean he asks me for a wipe so he can help.
I love my boys, Bradley gets home tomorrow night! Woot!
Doing yoga with mommy.
He still loves Thomas. The flowers were from Brad because he felt bad that he had to go to Florida on such short notice. I just like his face in this picture. Who am I kidding, I just love his face period!!
He wanted to snuggle last night and he was giving me hugs. It made me feel pretty good.
He's so sweet. He loves his mommy :)
He is getting into hats...and he's handsome. This is one of his new games.
I love my little boy! I don't want him to grow up. I'm not going to be able to stand it when he gets older and wants to go places and do things without me.
Here is the dog game we play. He loves those stupid puppets (no offense mom, I just have to play with them a lot).

I give up
I am no longer pushing the potty thing. Donovan just isn't ready. Every time he peed his pants, he didn't seem to notice so I'm taking that as a sign. I think I'll wait until it's a little warmer so he can run around naked and figure out how his functions work. I'll just have to be patient!
I love my little boy so much. I even love him when he wakes me up at 6:00 every morning :). He is so handsome and silly. Last night, we had Jordan's girlfriend over for dinner and a movie (Whip It, very entertaining). Donovan just ran up and down the hall while we watched the movie. He had a whole routine going, he would silently count on his fingers, throw his hands in the air and take off into my room where he would jump on the bed for a few seconds then run back into the living room and do it all over again. I can't tell you how many times he did it, but Kolay and I had a good laugh. He's getting really good at forming sentences, even though they don't make sense to most people. I still have to interpret for Brad sometimes. I never thought I would be able to decipher what he is saying, but I have most of it figured out now. Sometimes it takes me a few minutes, but I always figure it out. He loves to count to ten. He won't do it when we ask him to, but I hear him in his room counting his toys all the time. He loves to play with his stuffed animals and loves when his mommy talks as the character. He always brings me Goofy and says, "Hiya Pal". That's my cue to be Goofy. He also likes to play with his dog puppets, Rocky and Ivory...well, he likes when I play with them. I spend the majority of the day crawling on my knees pretending they are chasing him and barking. He thinks it's hilarious, but it gets a little old for me. The other day, he brought me Goofy and a bowling pin to play "tennis" (this is what he calls hitting his big ball back and forth with bowling pins). He made sure to tell Goofy, "keep a ball a gwound, Goofy" (yes, that is my attempt at how he speaks). At least he knows the rules when we play with the ball in the house, I just wish he would follow them! Donovan is really missing his daddy. Kids really do know when something isn't the way it should be. Whenever Brad is out of town, he wakes up in the middle of the night or cries in his sleep. It's really sad, so I'm really glad that this is Brad's last trip without us for a while! I'm glad we have Kolay, Donovan loves her! Jordan is in Utah with Brad, so Kolay and I are trying to keep each other sane and entertained. It's always so sad when we take Brad to the airport, Donovan gets really upset when he has to stay in the car and can't go on the plane with his daddy. I'm ready for summer when Brad won't have so much going on.

Potty Training...
Does anyone have any advice for potty training? How do you teach child to hold it in while they run to the potty? I started out letting Donovan run around naked and he had a few accidents (just wet ones, thank goodness), then I let him wear underwear and he had more wet accidents. I caved and bought some pull-ups yesterday and he's really excited to wear them. He'll sit on the potty, but won't go and 20 minutes later, he has an accident. I'm not frustrated yet, I'm trying to be cool and let him know that accidents happen, but he doesn't seem to care when he has an accident. Does that mean he's not ready? He loves sitting on the potty and wants to use his sticker chart, I just can't seem to get him on the potty at the right time! Help!
In other news, the computer is being looked at right now, I'm not sure how long it's going to take so I don't know when you'll get more pictures. I am currently using a laptop from the college, but Brad ordered a new adapter for our laptop so I can upload pictures again sometime soon...hopefully.
Donovan has been really funny lately. His little personality is showing more and more everyday. The things he says always crack us up, he can be such a nut. He loves to watch me play our new Wii Fit. I have been doing the Yoga every morning (I've already lost 3 lbs and I feel awesome), and he loves to watch and does some of the poses with me. He has to be in the middle of everything! He is just like Bradley, always the center of attention, whether he tries to be or not. He can be a bit of a stinker when Addi is over here. I remember Mason getting mad when Donovan would touch him, and Donovan does the same thing to Addi. He gets so annoyed if she touches him, but when he's in the mood he'll give her hugs and kisses. He has done awesome in his big boy bed! All we have to do is tell him to stay in his bed and crack the door so he can hear us and he goes right to sleep. The only downside is, he wakes up at 6:00 every morning and climbs in bed with us for a few minutes before he tells me he wants breakfast. I guess it's good that he gets us up early, I have extra time in the morning to get in a workout. He's been more interested in babies lately and I ask him if he wants a brother or sister and he says, "Bister". I guess that means he wants both...we'll see. And no, I'm not pregnant, you may be waiting a while before you get that kind of news. We haven't spent much time outside, it's been either freezing cold, or really wet. It snowed again last night, boo. I'm so sick of snow. It's going to take all spring for all the snow to melt!! I guess I can't complain, we've been in double digits the last few weeks. It's much warmer than it was a month ago.
Brad is going out of town again, he was in Florida last weekend and will be in Utah until Sunday. Donovan and I get really bored without him, especially when there's nothing to do outside! We don't even want to go to the zoo. We've spent a lot of time at the library, the mall, and Target. I read The Hunger Games on Saturday. It's a little morbid, but I liked it. I'm on a waiting list to get the second book. Does anyone have any other book suggestions? I like having a book to read after Donovan goes to bed when Brad is out of town.
Anyway, sorry this is so boring, I have a lot of pictures in my camera waiting to be uploaded!!!

Once again...
...I do not heart technology. Our computer crashed on Sunday, so you won't get a post for a while. I'm on our 4 year old laptop that won't hold a charge and the plug doesn't work well, so I won't even be able to post from here. Sorry, but try to remember that this sucks worse for us :)

Snow, snow, and more snow...oh yeah, and extremely cold temperatures
If you haven't already heard it on the news, the midwest has been experiencing some extreme winter weather. We've been in a snow emergency for the last few days and it's been in the negatives every morning so schools were closed yesterday, and again today. I did my grocery shopping on Saturday to last us at least 2 weeks so I wouldn't have to go outside. I haven't been anywhere since Monday and I've only been outside a handful of times to take out garbage and get mail. Hopefully we can get out of the house today because I'm going a little crazy.
Donovan and I have used this extra time we've had to play lots of games and finally get to playing with all of his Christmas presents. He really likes his Cootie Bugs that Mason got for him and actually spends a lot of time on them. He always has to make sure the head and body match, it's pretty funny. I will make one with a different colored head and body and he takes them apart and fixes my mistake.
With the freezing cold temperatures and a vacant apartment above them, a pipe burst in Lenna and Scott's complex and their apartment flooded. Brad went over to help them move things to prevent any damage to their stuff and brought Mason home to spend the night with us. Donovan was in heaven. He loves having Mason over! They played all kinds of games and had a lot of fun together. Even when they both wanted to play different games and tried to convince each other to play their game.
They watched Donovan's new favorite movie, Ice Age 3 (it was the 3rd time watching it that day for Donovan) and had some popcorn and chocolate milk.
Then Brad read them books before bed. This arrangement didn't last. Donovan couldn't stop giggling so when we went to tell him if he wasn't quiet Mason would have to sleep in another room, Mason said, "I want to do that". So Mason slept on the floor in our room, I think he was pretty tired and was getting annoyed with Donovan's noise. I knew it would be tough to get them to sleep in the same room, when Donovan's excited, it's impossible to get him to be quiet!I wish I had a better video, right when I pulled out the camera they started to calm down. They had been running around going crazy with Donovan's guys and airplanes.
The weather is supposed to get a little more mild in the next few days, so I'm looking forward to getting out of the house sometime soon!!

New Bed, New Year, etc.
Happy New Year everyone! I'm so excited about this year, If everything works out the way we are planning, it should be a great one!
I have to thank Hannah for getting this marble game for Donovan. He LOVES it. I would never get such a game because of all the small pieces (we are already missing 5 marbles), but it was the perfect gift. It's really easy to set up so we play it quite frequently and he has a blast. THANK YOU HANNAH! I think you win as the best gift giver....no offense to anyone else.
Iowa Western is closed for 2 weeks during the Holidays so Brad has been home with us. Donovan is loving having his daddy around and has become a bit of a daddy's boy.
He just wants to be with him all the time! Even at bed time, if I'm carrying him to his room he makes Brad come along too. When Brad turned a movie on for him this afternoon and walked out of the room to get something, Donovan flipped out! He was so upset that Brad walked out of the room. Silly boy.
The highlight of the last week: Donovan got a big boy bed. It's a Lightning McQueen bed and he loves it. He has done really well. He's been ready for a while, I wasn't. We did have a little issue last night and he ended up sleeping with us, but I'm hoping it was a one time thing. He's growing up just a little too fast for my taste. He is such a good, sweet boy, but he has been telling me "no" a lot lately and it's getting old fast. Is it possible to tell a child "I love you" too much? I say it an awful lot and give him millions of hugs throughout the day. He's just so sweet and cuddly, I can't resist!! Brad got a new hat with some of his Christmas money, he's been wearing it just about every day since. He usually doesn't like himself in hats, but he made an exception for the Colts. I think he looks handsome no matter what he wears, but he does look especially good in a Colts hat!
We spent our New Year's Eve hanging with the Hiatt's. We had a nice steak dinner and different snacks, played Wii Fit Plus, and a few card games. It was fun, but I was exhausted and Donovan woke up at 7:30 the next morning so it wasn't a pleasant New Year's Day. Anyway, sorry I didn't get many pictures. I'll have to take some pictures of Donovan in his big boy bed later.
My mom sent me our family pictures. They are cute, but it was freezing and I wasn't having a very good hair day.
I had to post this one because of the grin on my dad's face...you don't see that very often on film!!
