Region Tourney weekend

We decorated Halloween cookies the other day.  Donovan loved it while Chamae...

...just pulled the sprinkles off the table and dumped them all over the floor...and then ate them.  I guess they both enjoyed it.

We spent the weekend in Des Moines at the Region Tournament with Brad and the team.  Brad got the suite for our family so we had a big spa tub in our room.  The kids loved it and took a really long bath the first night.

We also spent some time at the Jordan Creek mall.  They have a really fun play area for the kids.  Both of the kids enjoyed it.

Chamae wanted to climb, climb, climb.
Chamea and Chamae again.

Cute little bundled up Princess at the Final.
They pulled off a 4-3 win in double overtime.  I was planning on leaving at half time with the kids to get them home and settled before bed, but the team was down 2-3 at the half so we had to stick around.  It was a stressful game, but they tied it up after half time and dominated the rest of the game, they just couldn't put it away!  They scored within 25 seconds of the 2nd overtime to end it.  Thank goodness!  I never realized how much it affects the coaches and fans until Brad started coaching.  I get a little too into the games when it comes down to post-season play.  The parents probably think I'm a little crazy, and they might be right.  It's going to be difficult not to be at the District Tournament this year, but I'll probably have less anxiety.  The kids and I are leaving for Utah on Thursday to be out there for Shay's wedding and then we'll stay and Brad will fly in for Thanksgiving and we'll all drive home together.  Anyway, go Reivers!  Congrats on winning the region for 6 years in a row!  PS- Brad didn't tell me this, so I'm not sure if it's true, but someone told me Brad was voted the coach of the year for Region 11.  So way to go again Bradley!  He deserves it!

Trying not to get behind

 Adorable little weirdo.

Another picture of Little Chamae and Big Chamea.  She was in town to watch her brother play for the Men's team so we had to take a picture while she was playing with Chamae.
I love those adorable top teeth.  They crack me up.
Poor Donovan started sounding like he was getting Croup Saturday night and by the time the game was over on Sunday afternoon, it was full blown.  He was down for the rest of the night and most of the day on Monday.

Crazy, "Daddy's going to get me" eyes.

She has a very strict mess making routine.  In the mornings, she pulls out all of the dvd's and Wii games.  In the evening while I'm making dinner or cleaning up the kitchen, she gets into the cabinet and has to pull everything out.  I was impressed that she was trying to get a little more leverage by standing on the baby cereal box.

They're so cute.  I love that they have different shades of blue eyes.  Donovan's are so much darker than Chamae's.
 They love each other:)
Random shot of Bradley and Donovan watching soccer.
We carved pumpkins tonight.  Donovan drew his face and Brad carved it out.  I was impressed, but I don't know why I was surprised.  He draws pictures of people every day.  He attempted to draw a face for Chamae, but his heart obviously wasn't in it so I took over.
Chamae's pumpkin.  They have the same number of teeth.
Donovan's awesome Jack-o-Lantern.  He was so excited to put it on display outside!

And now I'm going to bed so I can shake this cold that's coming on...hopefully.

Pictures and a brief update

Her first encounter with heels.

She looks almost exactly like Donovan in this picture!
Her first side pony...sort of.  I wish she had the same amount of hair in the back and on the top.  She is our mullet baby right now.

Donovan mid-dance move.  You have to see this one in person to appreciate it, it's pretty much the definition of awesome.
 Cute little cheesers.
Look at her teeth!  She has 4 on top and 3 on the bottom...so cute!

Their favorite game to play with Daddy.
Caught in the act.  The kid always has his finger up his nose.
 They love each other :)

Donovan really wanted a picture with Corbin.  He was a little annoyed with Addi when she kept trying to be in it.  Don't worry, I got some pictures with just her, that kept her happy:)
Finally got one alone with his cousin.  He's pretty good with Addi and the babies.
This is what Chamae likes to do while I'm trying to make dinner.  She's either standing against the oven, or trying to climb up my legs.
That's about it.  Our every day grind has been busy.  I found a friend to run with in the morning so we get up and go at about 6:30 every morning with her dog.  Afterwards I have to rush to get Donovan ready if Brad hasn't already before Lenna picks him up.  Then I'm either trying to get errands run before we pick Donovan up from school, or watching Addi and Corbin.  Chamae keeps me on my toes these days.  She's not as independent as Donovan was.  She likes to have someone to play with her and likes to be able to keep an eye on me.  If I disappear from view, she gets a little upset.  Donovan loves to play outside with his friend Alayna and thinks he can do whatever he pleases without telling me first.  I'll admit, he gets that from me.  I used to ride the bus home with my best friend in 6th grade and I wouldn't tell my parents.  My friend's mom would get a call in the late evening making sure I was there before my mom would pick me up.  I got in trouble for it quite a bit, but I still did it...even in high school...I'm probably going to pay dearly for that one when my kids are older.  I didn't understand why my parents would get so upset...I get it now.  Anyway, Brad is still super busy with college and club soccer.  His college team is doing well.  The region tournament is coming up in 2 weeks and he booked a suite for us to stay in while we're out there with him.  I love going on the road with him, and Donovan loves it too.  Brad was telling me about it last night, and Donovan got really excited and wanted to leave right away!
