Not much is going on. We're just trying to get through high school soccer and the soccer academy. Brad is busy a lot, but his job is fairly flexible so we're able to see him at work during the day and he's able to come home for lunch a lot. It's also fun on nice days for Donovan and me to get out to watch games. Even though he has weird hours, we still get to see him quite a bit.
The Academy is on Sunday nights and Brad gets help from his I-dub girls. Donovan is beyond the shy stage, he jumps right in when he sees soccer girls! He loves to play with them and they all think he's adorable so it works out :)On Saturday we had our camp fundraiser, I made a Barbie cake again. I'm not great at it, but it's a lot of fun and it's even more fun when little girls get really excited about it! 2 little girls convinced their grandma to get it for them and they were so excited when they got it! It made me feel pretty good.
Donovan is just getting big. Every time someone finds out he's only 2, they all have the same reaction. "He's so big!" It's true, he is a tall little boy. And he's getting skinnier too! He's starting to look like a miniature version of Brad, except he still has a little meat on his bones. I love a cute little boxer brief bum...look at that cute tush!Anyway, like I said, not much to report. I'm just trying to get organized for camp and Brad is busy coaching!

Girl's Camp
I'm the Camp Director for our ward, and camp is coming up pretty soon (June 8). We're supposed to come up with a skit and I want to help the girls come up with something fun...any ideas?

Food
I love food, a little too much sometimes. Since I've been running more frequently, I've started to crave fresh foods and I really don't like to eat as much meat as I used to...except steak...I love steak. Anyway, so I've been trying to make fresh meals for my little family and I feel like I've been doing a pretty good job, but I can't stop making/eating cookies. What is with this sweet tooth? If I didn't eat so many cookies and other baked goods, I would probably look a little more like my tiny little sister. How do you get over a sweet tooth? Maybe I'll just start adding veggies or flax to all of my baked goods...that will make them semi-wholesome, right?

Good weather=outdoor fun
I knew Donovan would look good in pink. It's because he's a real man. According to Bradley, only real men who are comfortable with their masculinity(he uses a different word, but that would make this blog PG and I like to keep it G) wear pink. This is his GQ pose that he learned from Mason. He's doing great with the potty, except that he wants to wear 3 different kinds of underwear everyday...oh well, it's better than diapers! The weather was really nice most of the week while Brad's parents were still here. We had a lot of fun going to soccer games, the park, etc. Scotty did a lot of shopping while he was out here. I guess it's because Utah isn't cool and doesn't have stores like Gordmans. He got some pretty awesome shades that Lenna thinks are feminine, but Hannah and I agree that they are awesome. The 80's are back, right? Why not embrace it. These pictures were taken at Brad's high school game.
Mason wanted to go to the game with us so it was Papa Sam, Scotty, Mason, Donovan, and Me. The car was full and Scotty and I were the only ones awake during the drive...good times. Of course Papa had to get them a treat so they each got a bag of Skittles...again...Hannah had given them each a bag the day before. I guess I just have to bite my tongue when the family is in town and let him enjoy some treats!
Friday was a really nice day so we went to the park...at least I think it was Friday. The pictures got a little messed up so I'm just pretending I know what order they're supposed to be in.
I really like this park, I think I had as much fun as Donovan did! It's a lot like the Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The only downside is, bugs. Donovan and I went back this week and there were a LOT of bugs, including wasps. We didn't stay long.
I think Hannah and Scott had more fun than the little kids.
After we played, they got to go down to the water and throw rocks. Donovan loves any game that involves throwing or hitting something so he had a lot of fun.
Friday night, David and Joyce took us all to dinner. They are WAY to generous! We had it all split up and David told the girl it was on him at the very last second. After dinner we went across the street to Bass Pro. Donovan loves seeing the fish and playing on the boats and 4-wheelers. Brad and I were suckered into a discounted trip as long as we take a 90 minute tour of a timeshare...it'll make a fun, cheap anniversary trip! While we were getting ready to leave, Donovan and Mason found a new friend. I wish I had taken a video of Mason kicking it, it was hilarious. They could have watched that thing all day. Donovan even picked it up and hugged it as we were leaving. The sales women were all telling me they had some in stock...no thanks.
On Saturday we got to see Mason's first soccer game. It was a little chilly and windy, but it was funny to watch. Donovan made sure I had my hood on. If he or I am wearing a hooded jacket, the hood has to be on or he gets upset.
Team huddle before the game.
Mason gave up and decided to warm up in the blanket and have a snack. I love the sibling matching faces in this picture.
On Tuesday this week we got to play with Mason and Addi for a few hours. It was another nice day so of course we were outside!
Mason had me take pictures of him and Donovan running.I am loving spring! The sun feels AMAZING! We have taken advantage and have been outside most of this week, but I haven't had my camera around. I was having too much fun playing with Donovan to worry about taking pictures!

Driving, etc
Brad had his first outdoor game on Thursday, Donovan was excited to get back outside to watch some soccer.Unfortunately, I had him in the wrong color. The other team was wearing orange...oops. He made some new friends and got to go pee in a "yucky potty" aka a porta-potty.
Brad and I went out on Friday night and Donovan spent the night with his cousin Mason. He had a lot of fun and made an awesome mess for Lenna. I'll let her post about it if she wants to. Anyway, it was nice to have a night to ourselves, we really appreciate Lenna's willingness to have him stay the night! Both boys stayed up so they could see Granny, Papa, and Scotty when they got into town.
On Saturday, the Easter Bunny decided to put out the kid's baskets since we would be in Missouri on Sunday. Donovan was pretty excited and had to open each egg. He didn't really care about his ball, bubbles, clothes, or books that he got. It was all about the candy. Can you see the pink shirt? I, I mean the Easter Bunny, got him a hot pink shirt because Brad says pink is hot, and Donovan looks good in anything! Orange really brings out the blue in his eyes, so I'm hoping pink does too.
Oh how I love to ride in a car, especially on my birthday...it actually wasn't all bad. We rode in the van with the Hiatt's so Donovan was entertained by movies and it was fun to play with Addi in the car, she did really well!
When we got there, Grandpa Charles got the old tricycle out and let the boys ride it for a while, they took turns and had a lot of fun.
I caught Bradley, Scotty, and Scott either playing on their phones or napping in the front room. Poor Scott was running on VERY little sleep. He didn't realize we were teasing him while he was asleep.
Addi loves her Granny, but I'm still the favorite besides her mommy! HA! I think I deserve to be the favorite though, I do watch her during the day, so get over it Hannah and Granny!!!
Donovan loves having Scotty around! I think he's going to be really sad when they leave on Saturday.
I swear he was on this swing over 50% of the time we were there. He sat with just about everyone in that swing.
Does anyone remember Skip-Its? These were cheap-o versions, but it still took me back. I used to love those things. I can still do it too!
We had some pizza while the Easter Bunny hid some eggs for the boys and their cousins (Brad's cousin's kids). They were all really excited.
I'm glad they had fun! They all came out with way too much candy. We picked through most of it after they went to bed :)
Happy Birthday to ME!!!! ...and Joe (Brad's uncle) and Scotty. I'm the only excited one, maybe it's because it was my real birthday, Joe's was on Thursday, and Scotty's is today. I'm not really an ice cream cake fan, but it was pretty good, and I had fun.I love Aunt Gina, she's so thoughtful. She knows I like to run, so she bought me a new water bottle. It's the recycled stainless steel kind. I'm excited to use it, thanks Gina! Don't mind my messy hair and tired eyes, we were in the car most of the day.
On Easter Sunday, Tia, Lenna, Addi, and I went to an Easter play at the Nazerene Church with Tia's parents. It was interesting. It was very different from what I'm used to. I'm grateful for the Gospel and for the knowledge I have of our Savior. I'm grateful that our focus is on his life and the atonement and not so much on the crucifixion.
There was an endless supply of sticks for Donovan to play with. He loved being able to play outside and run around like a little boy should!Donovan was the professional kite flyer. He runs around like a crazy person anyway, so he was able to fly it better than the other kids.
When he was tired, Scotty helped him.Mason did a pretty good job too, but he liked to let go of his. This is when his kite ended up on the roof of a shed, but it also shows Donovan's skills too.
Mason stayed in Kirksville with Granny and Papa and Scotty came back to CB with us. Donovan and Addi slept the first little while and then we made about 4 potty stops for Donovan. He must have been drinking a lot of water all weekend, I thought they were false alarms, but he definitely went every time!We watched Alvin and the Chipmunks this morning. Donovan has been singing this song since. I will give you a cookie if you can guess the song.
We had a great Easter weekend and I had a really good birthday! Now we get to be home and sleep in our own beds...mmmmm...
