Donovan and I just went to see Dr. Jones today and everything went well, even the shots weren't too bad. Donovan is very healthy. He is exactly 20 lbs and 28 1/2 inches long. 90th percentile in weight, 95th in height and only 30th in head circumference. I can't imagine how big his head would be if it were in the 90's as well...oy. Anyway, the Dr. said he was doing great and that his genetics should start taking over his weight and height...but we will see about that. It is time to stop night feedings, so we are in for a rough few nights, Donovan is not going to like that at all!

If you are curious what Donovan would look like with the head circumference in the 90th percentile, look no further. Mason was always in the 90% percentile for weight, length, and head and he still is. It's probably because of his perfectly round head.
You are right the next few nights will be hard but hang in there tough because you will be so glad you did and it will all be so worth it. It took the girls crying off and on for about 40 min for about 10 days for them to finally get the hang of it so be strong and hang in there. Make sure Brad does too! Good Luck
I started gradually cutting down the amount they were fed at night and then when they were down to 2 oz. I would pick them up and rock them without feeding them, and then went to just comforting them with out getting them out of the crib, then letting them cry themselves back to sleep. But I think I started when they were a lot younger so that may be too many steps for him.
Either way, you Mom is right, stick to it and you will be SOOOOO very glad in the end. Imagine, sleeping through the night again (most of the time) :)
I can't believe he's so big. Logan is 10 months and barely pushing 17 lbs. His skinny genes must have kicked in a little soon, I just hope we're closer to 20 when he's a year so we can turn him around in the car. And a good night's rest is worth a couple weeks of imperfect sleep. :)
