I am the Walrus

Does anyone else think it's hilarious that Donovan won't let us play "I am the Walrus" on Rockband because he is scared of the masks they wear on the video? Maybe Brad and I are just mean parents, but we think it's funny to torture our child by asking him if we should play it.

I am starting to get a little worried about Halloween, he has been a little timid around masks and scary Halloween decorations. I guess we will see how it goes. I used to love Halloween as a child, but I do scare pretty easily. I remember almost crying after going through a haunted house and running into a tall man in a black cloak with a freaky mask...and I was in 5th grade. I guess if he turns out to be a wimp it will be my fault.

We have one more weekend of fun with Bradley before he gets into his tournaments, so I am filling all of Saturday with Halloween activities and family pictures! Hopefully I remember to get some fun pictures to share.

Donovan is getting better, and so am I! I started getting sick on Sunday and I'm getting over it a lot faster than Donovan did. He still has a runny, gross nose and I didn't even get one. I've mostly been stuffed up at night and headachy and tired during the day. I took some medicine on Sunday night and was still up all night and took Donovan's medicine last night and slept like a log and didn't snore (according to Brad). How does that work? I am just going to take children's cold medicine from now on!

that's really funny, and sad. i remember andrew was terrified of gloves when he was little, so we would torture him by putting them on and grabbing him or chasing him around. funny, but mean. i haven't found anything that makenna is afraid of yet. she just laughs at everything.

I'm glad Donovan doesn't like the Walrus song. I don't like it either. I usually boo when they choose to play that one. I'm glad you guys are feeling better! Being sick is the worst.

I Am The Walrus is the best. That poor little boy. I can only hope he grows out of it.
Let's not forget the trip to the Hunted Forest when the guy chased you with the chainsaw. That was pretty hilarious.
(Actually, Makenna is afraid of me. She cries if I even look at her, but she's getting better.)
We found that the regular cold medicines made you kids hyper, while the non-drowsy formula knocked you right out. Go figure.

Yes, I am still terrified of the chainsaw guys, ask Karlee or Alex C. Medicine doesn't really have much of an affect on Donovan, but it still knocks me out!

I have the same fear for my girls on halloween. They do not like any type of mascot dressed up or anything so I think it will be a day full of saying those are just people dressed up in their costumes for pretend! Who knows maybe a lot of exposure will get them over their fears :O

I'm with Donovan, I really don't like the Walrus song either. Sorry you guys have been sick. I'm glad it seems to be just a cold and not a flu that lasts forever! Have fun Sat with all your Halloween festivities!

Too funny that Donovan doesn't like that song. It is a little scary. I don't think you're mean for trying to get him to play it. I stick out my tounge at Maddox and that scares him, but it is so darn funny/cute. I only do it every once in a while though (I try not to torture him too much). :O)
