Weekend fun

Before I get to our weekend in Des Moines, I have a few pictures.

Pretty baby girl before going to her 2 month checkup.

Chamae pooped all the way up her back so I got her cleaned up, put on a fresh diaper and wrapped her in the blanket. Donovan told me he needed to be wrapped up too.

Chamae has found her fingers and likes to drool and suck on them.

She's starting to be much happier for longer periods of time during the day. Even the evenings have been pretty good. She does scream after her bath though. She LOVES being in the tub, but once she has to get out and get dressed, she lets us know how upset she is about it!

Donovan wouldn't cooperate of course, but I got Bradley and Chamae hanging out on the floor.

She is getting so strong! She can hold her chest off the ground for a few seconds now.

Obviously I couldn't get a picture of it, but these are still pretty dang cute.

She's pretty, and the hair on top is actually starting to grow in again!


Working so hard!!

We were planning on going out to Des Moines on Sunday to watch some of the IWCC girls play in a tournament and so Brad could look at a club with some potential recruits. He ended up getting invited to play with a guy's team on Saturday so we decided to make a trip of it and booked a hotel room. The team ended up having about 12 subs so Brad felt bad and didn't sub in. After the first game he decided not to play anymore so we had a free day to play! We did go back to watch some IWCC boys play in the evening. Here are some pictures:

Big Chamea and Hailey were at the guys games so they got to play with Donovan and little Chamae (yes, they're spelled slightly different). Big Cham was proud that she got little Cham to sleep.

Donovan loved the pool of course. He got to swim again after breakfast on Sunday morning.

We hung out at the mall for a bit before heading back to the tournament to watch the girls.

Donovan was holding the ball like this with his backpack on and Brad thought it was awesome, so he had to get a picture. It is pretty cute, even with the goofy smile!
I was really proud of Donovan last night. I banned TV all of last week (yes, it was a long week) so when we got home last night we let him watch a show while I made a late pancake dinner. After dinner we gave him the choice of finishing his show or reading books. He immediately chose books. I couldn't have been prouder! Today he got to watch one show and got to pick when. He decided to watch it this morning while I made his breakfast. He only asked me to watch another show once after that. It has been much more peaceful around here since I haven't let him watch it so much! He has been a lot more pleasant and obedient. I think I'll stick with one show a day. It's a little more work, but it's worth having less behavior problems with my 3 year old.

Last but not least, his haircut. Brad decided to cut Donovan's hair after he tried to style it this weekend. He gave him a "euro". It's just like Brad's and it's adorable, sorry if you don't like it Grandma's!
