My husband, the genius

As some of you may know, I have started reading a lot again. In high school I was always in the middle of a book, but once I got to college I had to deal with soccer, school, and something foreign to me, a social life! Needless to say, I fell out of my reading habit. When I was pregnant, I passed the last week by reading the Twilight series, but once Donovan was born, I had plenty more to worry about. After reading Breaking Dawn this year, I remembered just how much I love reading. Anyway, I will get to the point. When Donovan goes to sleep, Brad is usually working so I read. He always comes home to find me reading and used to tease me about it, but now he has his own little hobby. He has figured out the rubix (sp?) cube. Now every time he finishes it, he hands it to me and tells me to mess it up. Last night he even asked me to time him. When I teased him about it he brought up the fact that my nose is always in a book, which is something he will never understand, he HATES reading. Don't worry though, he can read, he just doesn't enjoy it like I do. So he is the rubix cube champion now. He was pretty impressed with himself last night and was pretty confident that he is the only person in his family who has done it, so unless someone can prove him wrong, I will let him have his glory. I am so proud. We moved our apartment around, Brad insisted. Now Donovan is trying to find different ways to annoy us and get into things. He loves to push the buttons on the TV, even though he has to squeeze by his toy bin. I guess that is the fun part though, the challenge of it.
He is getting so cute when he reads books or points to things. He will look at a book and point to something and say, "what's that", but it sounds more like, "tssa". We know what he means!
The other night he was being so stinkin cute. He was pounding on the wall and singing some Indian Pow-wow song. Sorry, the video is pretty blurry, our apartment doesn't have the best lighting.

The other day he discovered his hat drawer. So of course we had to try on all of his hats.
These were the two cutest pictures.Maybe he should be a pumpkin for Halloween!
Donovan and I have a fun weekend ahead of us, Brad leaves with the soccer teams tomorrow afternoon and won't get back until late Sunday night. I don't know how I am going to stay sane that long without him. I guess it will prepare us for the longer road trips ahead of us, I think they are making a trip to Wyoming this year. Yuck, but at least they don't have to drive to Northwestern Idaho again!! I did get a new book at the library for the weekend so I will have something to do after 7:00 every night!!

That video of donavon was way cute. It is so fun to catch them doing silly things like that. I have to give it to Brad for doing that rubix cube that is not an easy task. Hang in there when Brad goes out of town I feel your pain. Ben will be gone next week too.

Who would have thought that a kid pounding on a wall would be so entertaining!

Props to Brad...I don't have the patience for that stupid game.

Love the Indian song and drumming. It is so cute! Way to go Brad! Not entertaining for me at all but hey, whatever keeps you sane. Too bad that you and D-baby are on your own this weekend. Hope the weather is nice and you can get outside or how about a zoo trip?

How come the videos don't like to work at my house? I've tried three times, but no go. I'm sure it's adorable though. Well done with the colorful cube Brad.

I used to love Rubik's cubes. I had a friend who could do the 4X4 and the 5X5, my limit was just the good ol 3X3. We keep our hats in a drawer that Logan can reach too, he LOVES pulling everything out and making a huge mess...at least it keeps him entertained for a while, right?

Brad - hate to burst your bubble, but I have mastered the cube as well. I guess we have another competition - who can do it the fastest. Kaylee is great at mixing them up...

I always knew Brad was a genius. As for D-baby you need to get him into a modeling agency...no jk on that. He can work the camera with his hat skills.

Let us know where in Wyoming! We'd love to go visit him! Man I just think your little guy is the cutest ever! Lincoln's getting cuter, but Donovan's already there! I love getting to watch all his stages, then I know what's next for Linc. Give that kid a big smooch for me! Oh and when Mike is gone, I go crazy with Linc ALL DAY, that's why it hits 7pm and I'm like "Wahoo! Bedtime!" Love it!
