A new favorite word

Donovan now has a new favorite word, "bed". He loves to jump on our bed and always pulls my hand and says "bed" over and over again until I put him on it (he is a pretty good climber, but our bed sits pretty high). I know it isn't the best thing for our bed, but he has a blast! It is a new fun game that we play daily. We pile our pillows on his head and he giggles like crazy, it's a lot of fun for all of us...until he cries when we make him stop. We have been getting better at reading scriptures and praying as a family every night, so he just jumps on the bed as we read. He is actually pretty good at calming down and folding his arms for the prayer too. The other night we were laughing pretty hard. We asked him to close his eyes, so he had to put his fingers over his eyes so he would keep them closed. It was pretty cute, I wish I would have had my camera for that one. He is growing up so fast and learning so much! He can now say "Lenna"and tries to say "Mason", but it sounds nothing like it. We don't have anything but laundry to do tomorrow, so he is going to have some fun being naked tomorrow! I'll let you know how it goes, you should all be thankful that I don't have my camera because I would probably take some disgusting pictures!

In other news, I am now the Sunbeam teacher! I am actually pretty excited. They have had a hard time with their Sunbeam teachers in the past. They didn't show up every week so the kids had different teachers almost every week and some of them have had a hard time with it. We had an awesome bathroom break before the lesson that took about 20 minutes, I learned my lesson on that one. We usually just have them go into the nursery to use the little bathroom, but the primary president suggested we take a bathroom break so the kids wouldn't have a hard time getting back to class (who would want to come back to Sunbeams after seeing all the toys and snacks?). I will never do that again! We only have one boy (who has to have his grandma in the classroom, otherwise he won't come into class), and three girls, so I took all the girls to the big bathroom and the little boy stayed with his grandma. Twenty or more minutes later, we all got back to the classroom and by the time I got the lesson started, we had three minutes left. It was awesome. I think we will stick with them going one at a time to the nursery.

Sunbeams! Lucky you. I understand that bathroom break thing. I still think it takes a long time when they go individually but at least you still have a class to teach. Also, I think they would get better at it too if you make it a new habit. Our Sunbeam teach does that before starting class too. Wow, if you stick with it you will have Mason in your class in Jan. I can picture Donovan putting his fingers on his eyes to shut them- so cute! He's soaking everything in at this age. Can you believe he will be 2 soon?!!

I was reading this post on our laptop while sitting on our bed and Colin was behind me jumping (well, trying to jump) and attacking me. He loves to play on the bed too. Donovan is such a smartie pants. I love hearing about his new tricks. Good luck with the Sunbeams. Teaching the little kids can sometimes be a handfull (I teach the 4 year olds) but they are so sweet and close to the spirit that it all evens out.

How cute! He is such a sweet little boy. Good luck with Sunbeams that one can be a blast some weeks and quite the chore others. It will be really good for the kids to have a regular teacher in there now.

Nice blog, but it's hard to read a gray font on a black background! Could you please change the color of the font for us old folks. Nice blog though!
