New Bed, New Year, etc.

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so excited about this year, If everything works out the way we are planning, it should be a great one!

I have to thank Hannah for getting this marble game for Donovan. He LOVES it. I would never get such a game because of all the small pieces (we are already missing 5 marbles), but it was the perfect gift. It's really easy to set up so we play it quite frequently and he has a blast. THANK YOU HANNAH! I think you win as the best gift giver....no offense to anyone else.

Iowa Western is closed for 2 weeks during the Holidays so Brad has been home with us. Donovan is loving having his daddy around and has become a bit of a daddy's boy.
He just wants to be with him all the time! Even at bed time, if I'm carrying him to his room he makes Brad come along too. When Brad turned a movie on for him this afternoon and walked out of the room to get something, Donovan flipped out! He was so upset that Brad walked out of the room. Silly boy.
The highlight of the last week: Donovan got a big boy bed. It's a Lightning McQueen bed and he loves it. He has done really well. He's been ready for a while, I wasn't. We did have a little issue last night and he ended up sleeping with us, but I'm hoping it was a one time thing. He's growing up just a little too fast for my taste. He is such a good, sweet boy, but he has been telling me "no" a lot lately and it's getting old fast. Is it possible to tell a child "I love you" too much? I say it an awful lot and give him millions of hugs throughout the day. He's just so sweet and cuddly, I can't resist!! Brad got a new hat with some of his Christmas money, he's been wearing it just about every day since. He usually doesn't like himself in hats, but he made an exception for the Colts. I think he looks handsome no matter what he wears, but he does look especially good in a Colts hat!
We spent our New Year's Eve hanging with the Hiatt's. We had a nice steak dinner and different snacks, played Wii Fit Plus, and a few card games. It was fun, but I was exhausted and Donovan woke up at 7:30 the next morning so it wasn't a pleasant New Year's Day. Anyway, sorry I didn't get many pictures. I'll have to take some pictures of Donovan in his big boy bed later.

My mom sent me our family pictures. They are cute, but it was freezing and I wasn't having a very good hair day.
I had to post this one because of the grin on my dad's face...you don't see that very often on film!!

Scot Here....Nice pictures. I think Brad looks handsome in everything too. Are those Railroad pictures by the sinclair in Lehi?

Very nice pictures. Are you sure you and Donovan can't come out with Brad this month so we can take some sassy Silvey family pictures? That would be so awesome... Also, good luck with the toddler bed. Let me know what tricks you learn about how to keep an active boy in bed. We want to transfer Colin over to a big bed asap.

Well, I just hope you're flexible with your plans for the new year. They can change real fast... ;)
And that's not really a grin on my face, it's a grimace from the cold. Actually, Scot, that's the railroad tracks north of Hart's behind what used to be Peck's Building Supply. It's a very popular spot for pictures nowadays. At least one group there just about every day. We weren't the only ones there that day, and it was freezing.

Shoot! Again I must have forgotten to save my comment. I agreed with Kirsta that you and Donovan should come when Hiatt's and Bradley are here. We are due for family pictures as well. Nice pictures of the Goodman group!
