We had a little snow a few days before we were expecting Chamae so Brad and Donovan took advantage and decided to do some sledding while I did a little house work to prepare for baby.
They had so much fun that they decided to call Mason and play out there a little longer.
The boys had fun on the sled and throwing snow at each other. It was the perfect day for Brad and Donovan to have a little outside fun together. I was a little jealous, part of me wanted to take a ride on the awesome reindeer sled.
Last picture before I got all hooked up! My mom got in Wednesday night and Brad and I were up bright and early the next morning to go to the hospital.

The time since little Chamae made her appearance has flown by. The hospital stay was a little miserable, but who likes being at the hospital? Labor was interesting. With Donovan, the epidural numbed me completely, I couldn't feel a thing. This time I told them I wanted to feel pressure without the pain...I was mostly numb but felt some pressure so that part went as planned, but I wasn't planning on feeling the contractions so much! I got the epidural shortly after Dr Potter broke my water because the contractions were getting really bad, but it barely did anything for that pain. It dulled it slightly, but I still felt every single one of them. I'm really glad my mom was able to be there. Brad was incredibly sweet the whole time too. I think he knew what to expect this time and was really excited to see his little daddy's girl. Brad isn't often a romantic or overly sweet, but he was great the whole time...even when he kept eating in front of me all day while I was starving. When it was time to push, I was ready. When I was pushing I couldn't feel the contractions so it wasn't very difficult for me to do it! I pushed about 4 times and she was almost out so I just asked him if I should keep pushing and he said, "go ahead." So I pushed one more time and she was out! I think it took about 10 minutes...if that. It was much faster than Donovan! After they cleaned her up they brought her over and she latched on almost immediately! It really was a blessing after I was so frustrated over my experience with Donovan. I'm still relying pretty heavily on my mom with cleaning and keeping Donovan entertained, but she's leaving on Saturday so I guess I'll have to start figuring it out on my own! We're very grateful for the time we've had my mom here to help, it's definitely a transition!

congrats! we were all excited to hear that the little one arrived! glad the delivery part was a little easier this time! cute name, too.
wow only 10 min of pushing! I am really hoping that will happen with me on my next one :) Moms are the great and don't you worry you will survive even when she is gone!
Even though we missed mom we're glad she was able to go out and help. Other than the driving ShayLea and I had a good time for the couple of days there. That Chamae is such a little cutie. She stole our hearts right away. And Donovan is a really good big brother. There will be times you'll wonder, but he loves his little sister. And yes, you will survive and do very well. You're good parents.
