More pictures

I'm typing this one handed because Chamae only takes good naps when she's being held. It's pretty easy to hold and snuggle her so I'm not complaining...we just don't get a whole lot done until Bradley gets home to take over snuggling duties. Thankfully she sleeps through Donovan and me playing games. I'm becoming better at doing everything one handed and Donovan is being really patient with all of it.

This girl loves to be on her side. When I put her on her back she usually rolls to her side.

So far it has preserved her hair. It actually seems to be getting thicker...even on top where her brother went bald! I love the long hairs in the back. She's probably going to have a mullet for a while. I love that she has hair, but it makes it difficult to make headbands look cute because it sticks out all over the place!

The snow has started to get a little slushier so it is better for making snowmen. Brad and Donovan went out the other night to build one. Donovan just loved being outside in the snow and Brad enjoyed building a perfectly rounded snowman.

I love Donovan's face in this picture. Man I love these boys.
The only sticks they could find.
She can't decide if she likes the bath or not. She still looks a lot like Donovan did, just a lot skinnier! I still find her long fingers and toes so fascinating. They are so pretty!
My handsome little boy has done such an awesome job adjusting to life with a newborn. He has been very patient with me and his sister. We have basically just been surviving for the last few weeks. I'm getting anxious to start getting out and doing fun things again! Brad is a great dad so Donovan always has someone fun to play with when he gets home at night and he also takes good care of Chamae (even though she's fussy and grumpy in the evenings) so I can spend a little one on one time with Donovan reading books and singing before bed.

Again, she loves being on her side! I love this little girl! I really didn't know how I could love another child as much as I love my little Donovan, but I love this little girl so much! I feel much more patient and less overwhelmed this time around. I think my mom had it right when she said you become a zombie with a baby. I'm so exhausted but I'm too worried about other things to let it get to me. Right now I'm just going through the motions and fulfilling the basic needs of my kids and trying to pay attention to Brad when he's home. I have been getting a shower and trying to do my hair and makeup while Chamae takes her morning nap (when she'll sleep without being on my chest) to feel good about myself. I haven't been too concerned about a routine yet, but I know we need to start working on it so we can function normally again!
I have to brag about my Donovan for a minute. He spent most of the day at a Sunbeam friend's house. The other little boy's mom is my visiting teacher and she offered to take him for the morning and it turned into an all day play date! It was great, I got quite a bit done and got a lot of snuggle time in with Chamae. Anyway, I texted her to see how he was doing and she said he was the most polite 3 year old she had ever met and that he was no work at all. It made me feel really good, but when I told Brad his response was, "why is he so good for everyone else and such a pill when it's just us?" I don't know about him, but I'd rather have Donovan misbehave at home so we can correct the behavior and have strangers think he's the perfect child! HA! He really is a good little boy, he's just very active and can get a little too crazy sometimes and forgets to make good choices. We love the little stinker!

For anyone that doesn't believe Chamae rolls to her side, I can verify that. She was trying to roll within a couple days, and doing a pretty good job. She's a strong one, just like her brother.
And Donovan's a lot like you kids were. Angels for everyone else, and little imps at home... :) Everyone is usually better for other people. Probably because they know it's for a short time. At home you can relax a little bit and if you get cranky you're still loved. Usually.

Wow, she has lots of hair. That's so amazing and cute. It takes some time to adjust but sounds like everyone is doing just that. It's kinda nice having a baby in the winter when you don't really want to be out and about since it's so cold, etc. The snowman pictures are adorable! I love those boys too! I agree, it's better to have the naughty behavior at home rather than in public or someone elses home. My kids were the same way.... Thanks for the update and new pictures. Can't wait to meet Chamae!

Her hair is cute. Kate still has a mullet, but I like it. I'm glad Donovan is good for you, and especially that he is good for others!

I can't even believe how much hair she really has! That is so darling that she rolls onto her side. If you don't want her to rub that cute hair off put something silky or satin behind her head in her carseat and under head when she does sleep on her back it will help save it.. I had a neighbor who did that with her girl and she never had that bald spot in the back.
