It's amazing how much work a little newborn can be! It's hard to get anything else done because I'm either feeding her, changing a diaper, playing with Donovan while she's asleep, or just snuggling her (I could snuggle her all day long. She likes to be in the fetal position when she's on my chest, I love it.) I'm lucky to have Donovan. He's such a good helper and loves being a big brother. He has also been getting really good at keeping himself entertained which makes me feel a little guilty, but he seems to be enjoying himself!
He still wants to carry her, but has settled for just holding her. This could have been taken in the morning or the afternoon...we haven't been getting out much. He looks so huge to me now.
She was pretty content for a few minutes.
Brad thought it was really funny that she was drooling milk in her sleep. She loves her mommy's milk! After I feed her, her whole body just goes limp and she gets a really content look on her face. She gets a little milk drunk, it cracks me up.
Things we love about Chamae so far:
-She grins and laughs in her sleep. You can say they aren't real smiles or giggles, but we enjoy them.
-She is so snuggly, I really could just hold and snuggle her all day. She doesn't get put down very much.
-She loves to look around at whoever is talking, especially mommy. I have become a little bit of a baby hog. I should probably share so she'll like other people more.
-She makes some awesome grunting noises.
-Her long skinny fingers, toes, legs, and arms are adorable/hilarious. 0-3 month sizes are already looking like they will be too short for her long limbs very soon!
Things we love about Donovan:
-He has an awesome imagination. He could play by himself for hours making every item in the house part of whatever imaginary game he's playing...except for his toys of course.
-He is still so snuggly and sweet. He came in the living room at 4 am while I was feeding Chamae and snuggled up against me for a few minutes before going potty and getting back in bed. He also had to sit on my lap in primary today...not sure it's a good thing that I'm in there with him, but I felt loved.
-He doesn't always listen very well and gets in trouble for it quite a bit, but when I send him to time out he always says, "I'll be a nice boy" over and over. It breaks my heart that I have to put him in time out anyway. He's starting to get better since we've been more consistent and have followed through a lot better.
-He loves to learn. He's getting really good at recognizing letters and their sounds. We still have a few letters to improve on, but he's getting it! He also loves to count and can almost count to 30. He consistently gets to 25, but mixes some numbers up after that. He's also really good at recognizing 0-9. I know I can do better at teaching him, but when we actually do sit down and do it, he picks it up pretty well.
-His energy! It exhausts me, but I love that he's so full of life and just wants to play and be crazy!
We love our two little ones! I'm sure we're going to have plenty of challenges as they grow up, but we're going to try to enjoy every stage and every moment with them.

Thanks for more pictures and news. She is changing. So glad Donovan is such a good helper and happy to entertain himself too. Love the pictures at the train show. Glad the boys had a fun outing together. Couple of weeks and I finally get to meet Chamae! Hurray!
She already looks so big! :)
Such cute pictures.. I love the drunk on milk look and when some drools down their mouth so darling! I was a baby hog with Cater too..when we had the twins Ben always had one and I always had one but when we had just Carter I ended up hogging him most of the time :)
Donovan is a handful, for sure. Go go go. Faye is the same way. Like a little tornado, and she doesn't like time out either, it seems. We had her for a sleep over Friday night, and at one point Uncle Mac was going to get her and she started yelling, "Don't put me in time out! Don't put me in time out!" It was too funny. Chamae sure is growing. Doesn't look a bit like she did when we were there. Keep the pictures coming.
I love to see Chamae in those cute little sleepers! She looks so big already! Only 2.5 more months before she gets to meet her favorite aunt (ha!). Okay, I'll settle for favorite Utah aunt. Or even favorite Utah aunt whose name begins with K.
Great pics & info. Chamae is adorable! Also love the huge train hats on the boys :)
